Thank goodness I love my story. I’ve just finished going through chapter one of “Conquer All Obstacles” edits for about the 40th time. No, I’m not exaggerating. I had once heard one famous author, Joy Fielding, say that she had torn chapter one apart 50 times. I thought she was kidding…NOT!
Better news is that my editor, Nancy, is back from her holidays and is working hard to finalize “Conquer All Obstacles” for the printer. She’s hoping to have the layout wrapped up by the end of next week. A HUGE step in the publishing process which will bring me even that much closer for my dream to become reality.
No guessing that it was a full moon last night. This morning, I jumped out of bed with this brilliant idea for my next book. Instead of an immediate sequel to the suspense/romance, I’ve decided that I’m going to write a nonfiction book—filled with practical marketing ideas to create massive exposure and drive traffic back to the site where the author’s books are sold. Unscrambling my rambling thoughts, I’ve come up with a title: “Premium Promotional Tips for Writers”. Categories include: Building an Author Platform, Blogging, Creating Massive Exposure, Driving Traffic, and Social Networking. I’m so excited to collaborate all my most recent published posts and create a remarkable resource to help authors with the business aspects of selling their books. My goal is to complete “Premium Promotional Tips for Writers” within this month. Nancy (bless her heart) has already agreed to edit and provide the layout in this restricted time frame. I feel it’s important to get this material published as soon as possible. I know there’s a demanding market and the promoting and publishing scheme is constantly changing. I can not afford to wait any longer. My wealth of knowledge must reach writers now.
The mouse on the treadmill (who lives in my head) didn’t stop with just that brilliant idea. It seemed to run even faster. My thoughts flew to the next process of publishing my second book. I’ve decided to sell “Premium Promotional Tips for Writers” as hard copy, ebook, and I’m going to produce an audible version. I’ll sell my tangible book from my 3 sites and various other distributors, sell my ebook as a whole or single chapter/category purchase from my 3 sites, and the audible podcast will be sold as a hardcopy CD or iTune upload for the writers who are fighting against the clock and need the convenience of listening resource material while on the go. Bundle special price packaging will be included for those who have chosen to purchase both the hardcopy and CD.
Well, was that news a shock to your system? It’s almost 9:00pm here and my brain is mush and my body is crashing fast. But before I sign-off, I want to check the stats for this site with the Google Analytics. I’m curious to see where my audience is coming from, and which country most of my followers reside…
Not surprisingly, the number of visits to this site have dropped—that’s what happens when you wait too long to publish your next post. Yet, the visits haven’t stopped and there’s still a constant flow of traffic. Comparing the Americans to the Canadians…today Canada is in the lead, with a fine margin of 8 extra visitors. And India has now jumped to 3rd place. United Kingdom and Turkey are tied for 4th. Isn’t it amazing that people from all over the world can read what you write?
Oh one more thing...please check out the new site I created this weekend on my business site at Premium Promotional Services by clicking HERE. Comments are welcome.
